For most people, the College for Creative Studies’ website is the way they first connect with the college. The website also provides a first opportunity for the college to establish its brand. Highlighting art, videos and stories, the site establishes the college’s brand before visitors receive emails or other marketing materials. By optimizing the back end site annually, the college saw increased organic traffic every year.

Establishing a digital brand

Norwich operated as an individual organization for many years rather than one university. The university web entities included athletics, on-campus admissions, online admissions, development, and internal communications. Each web entity was owned and managed by these individual units, with each property having its own URLs and design cues. In less than a year, we created a new website that brought all but athletics into one property. The Office of Communications and Marketing does site management but allows individual departments the ability to update their content when desired on their own.
